Mildreds is an entirely vegan restaurant with various locations around London. it originally opened in 1988 – can you imagine the novelty of an all vegetarian restaurant back then! I have only been to the Soho branch and can’t tire of it. You will notice by the line and wait time it’s a popular eatery, and rightly so, the food is delicious and comfortably priced.
I love a vegan eatery, I find it refreshing not to have to look for the ‘vg’ sign. Although they constantly change their menu here are some of my favourites:
- Bourbon buffalo chicken burger – served in between charcoal buns the perfect amount of juiciness
- Polish, white bean burger – I’m partial to a bean burger, they are my favourites
- Charred artichoke crostini, served on fluffy aioli, it’s perfect for sharing, along with the
- Hummus and garlic pitta bread!
And for my favourite part of any meal…end your evening with a portion of:
- Caramel cheesecake – bathed in blackberry sauce
- Chocolate cherry cake – served with coconut cream
- Sticky toffee pudding – Y-U-M-M-Y

Seriously, if you’re wondering where to eat tonight, go to Mildreds. You won’t be disappointed in the food…even if you do have to wait a little for your table! I am a fan!
