Pret A Manger

Pret A Manger have been cooking up a good selection of vegan options from before I was interested in plant-based food, so with a Pret in almost every corner of London, you can be sure to have a vegan option to choose from today. If you happen to find one of the few “Veggie Pret” locations, then you will have even more options. I can’t wait for these to slowly take over the regular Prets’.

Before I move on to my lunch-time favourites, I must talk about the Dark Chocolate and Almond Butter Cookies. They are vegan HEAVEN and if you haven’t tried them, please don’t wait any longer. I have been known to eat more than one in a single sitting, colleagues bring them to me when they go to Pret as they know it will make me smile immediately. Seriously, they are good enough to deserve a large paragraph… There were a few (almost six) months in 2019 where the cookie was nowhere to be found and I would look at their twitter feed every day to check for updates. It’s real love. During Covid-19 lockdown, Pret released the recipe for the cookie. I haven’t made it as I know I’ll end up eating them excessively. But if you’re interested here it is

In terms of savoury food, I usually go for the Avo, Olives & Toms Baguette, it does not fail accompanied with a bag of veggie crisps, the perfect lunch!

Amongst other items on their menu that I enjoy, is the Falafel, Avo & Chipotle Flat Bread and the Humous & Chipotle Wrap. And on a cold day, I love sinking into a Tomato Soup.

There are many, many more vegan options in Pret A Manger and they like to update their menu from time to time.
