Brighton
I spent a whole day in Brighton whilst my husband ran the marathon.. it was only appropriate that in contrast, I ate the best food the city could offer. I mapped my eating-route with his running route, and timed it so that I could be in the right place at the right time to cheer him on in between my meals. The best part was that Brighton, being the most vegan friendly place I’ve visited had more than enough options for me to choose from, at any given time.
So, my journey took off at Green Kitchen, a cosy 100% Vegan café. I was very pleased that I chose them for breakfast, I enjoyed two delicious options:
- A tofu benedict muffin, with avocado and a super tasty Hollandaise sauce
- A rasher bap, an excellent breakfast option
What distinguishes Green kitchen, is that they make their “meat” substitutes themselves, and you can also purchase packs of sausages, rashers, etc., to take home. Honestly, it is delicious. To make things even better, the staff were absolutely lovely – even though I also came in with two big dogs, they were welcoming, friendly, and attentive… It’s a place you definitely have to go to when you’re in Brighton.
It was too early for me to start indulging in cakes, but I took a picture to show you! YUMMY!
