Having been to at least ten different locations throughout the years, I can’t review a specific branch. Pizza Express is one of those places where you know exactly what you’re going to get before you go. It’s perfect for a quick meal which you will enjoy and the food is always good!
Before I became a Vegan I would rotate between the Giardinera and the Padana Pizza. As luck would have it, the Giardinera was one of the first Pizzas they made Vegan back in 2018. I think it’s lovely, they use a creamy cheese which melts completely. I usually order a Romana base. It might be my mind playing tricks on me but I feel it’s bigger than the normal base.
They also have a Vegan Padana which is incredible. Caramelised onions and creamy melted cheese. You can’t go wrong!
Dough balls are always a must and if you’re thinking “But what’s the point without the butter?” Fear not, the Harissa dip is fantastic, so much so, that I make it at home and add it on almost everything I eat.
On the menu they have other vegan options I haven’t tried, including a Margherita Pizza, and a few different dessert options – not just Lemon Sorbet – which I will definitely try next time and report back.
Pizza Express are constantly changing and adding to their Vegan menu, I enjoy the taste, you get what you pay for and so far I haven’t had a negative experience.
