Zaza Lusso

Zaza Lusso is located in Old Amersham, an Italian restaurant which we stumbled upon by chance. We were drawn inside by the decor which we saw through the window. Fairy lights adorning an Olive Tree inside the main dining room. It is not a real tree but the food is authentically Italian!

Zaza Lusso is one of many ‘Zaza’ restaurants. I haven’t had the pleasure to go to any of the others yet, but the menu appears to be the same throughout.

They don’t have many Vegan dishes, however, the Penne Arrabbiata is exquisite! I’m not exaggerating, I believe a good plate of pasta can make all the difference. I have been to Zaza over and over again, and never tire of eating it.

Their Bruschetta is delicious, instead of chopping up tomatoes in little squares, they serve halved cherry tomatoes, the dish is substantial. You could also get the Avocado Crostini de Pomodoro for starter without the cream. They can’t guarantee the availability as it depends on having avocados left in the kitchen, but it’s worth a shot.

If you don’t feel like having a pasta for mains, they can prepare the Goat’s Cheese Salad without the goat’s cheese or you can also ask for a customised pasta with vegetables. They can accommodate.

Zaza Lusso is a lovely restaurant, the service is excellent, the staff are always so lovely. Their food portions are very generous and they don’t compromise on taste. However, I’d love to see more Vegan options!
